Gotten back into Unreal

Oh, damn. Unreal has taken over my computer time again, as a time waster while I try and install Quake Live. I figure here would be the best place to describe the wonderful botmatch that went on today (me versus 16 of the computer. Perfect). This was written on Windows Live Writer which I don’t like very much, so if something screws up I apologise.

First off, a picture of my character, SisterOfNight.SisterOfNight

Here are some shots of the actual fight.209f348f66de872b03f532bd02087919 bb82b4b3486624ab5bf2c2aa6ede2f17

And finally the scores.

This was with no cheats, so I’m kinda proud. The AI players are a little too easy though, and Katryn was one of the hard ones. I sniped mostly with a flak cannon, my weapon of choice.

Why, you ask? Well, I've been cleaning my iPod touch preparing it to go out tomorrow, fitting it's case and all, and I just discovered a crack in the screen. Less than three millimeters long, but still enough for me to be very annoyed with myself and cut up because Apple doesn't cover neglegence. All I can do right now is either leave it or take it to Apple and ask them to fix it. It's still under warranty. I might ring them tomorrow and ask them if I'm covered for this.

It's not the end of the world, but it's enough to make me think of my touch as way more fragile rather than indestructible.

I wrote this on my touch, with the crack. If I don't concentrate on it I can't even see it.

TUAW, don't slander me for advertising your blog on my blog. To everyone else, if you have an iPhone or are considering getting one (either that or an iPod touch), you may want to check this out.

May you never have to buy anything on that list again, unless you like your handwriting.

Swiss Army Phone! Or Swiss Army iPod in my case!

I'm Torn...

...between Google Chrome and Safari. Which one shall I use and keep using? I love Safari 'cause it's Apple, it remembers my stuff and has all my bookmarks. I love Google Chrome 'cause it's great for shits and giggles, and loads stuff very fast. Like, very fast, once you load it once.

Now which one shall I use?

Aw, hell, I'll just alternate until I figure it all out. Besides, in a few days I hope to have a hackint0sh, and more on that later. Perhaps from my iPod touch. In the mood to make a post on it.

Google Chrome!

Yep, I caved. I downloaded Google Chrome.

If not for the themes, it was for the... well, it looks nicer than Safari, despite my love for Apple. The current theme I'm using? The Porsche one. Of course. Oh damn, no spellcheck on Chrome? Okay, that's a con.

When I started the download I was actually attempting to download a movie trailer (more on that later), meaning the download was gonna take a while. This is my first time I'm using Chrome, because it downloaded like... 10 minutes ago! Now for the actual review.

PT 1: "Web Pages Load Faster" Apparently.
Well, not so IMO. Depeche Mode's website took the usual amount of time with my capped internet, but hey. It did eventually load, and I saw the DM Fan Twitter Feed widgit for the first time. After I load a page, THEN and only then does the page literally jump to the screen. I kid you not, it went so fast... Safari never did that.

PT 2: Themes! Hot Damn, Themes!
I really do love the themes of Google Chrome. 'Nuff said.

Yeah, my techno-reviews really suck, don't they? I'll do a bit more testing and may elaborate later.

Why I love Depeche Mode!

This is going to be a slight short post about something I read on Tumblr.

carolinabela:

Next time your band manages to make 136 thousand people put their hands in the air, you call me. *DM Pride*

Right here is the video. http://carolinabela.tumblr.com/post/274470517/next-time-your-band-manages-to-make-136-thousand

No, seriously, next time your band manages to make 136 thousand people put their hands in the air, call me.

This is why I love Depeche Mode, you see.

And here they are, all Depeche related.

Well, that's most of them.

Well, damn, I didn't know that theme was gonna turn out well. Unfortunately it doesn't load well on my slower-than-dial-up internet connection but hey. After much cocking about with the themes and downloading about three, I settled on this one.

In other news, the next post will be a collection of various iPod touch wallpapers over the months.

I figured...

...that I'd get back into blogging. This probably won't work and there's no doubt I'll give it up in a few days. But regardless, if a blog is for documenting what one did during the day or wants to complain about, here we go.

It's that time of the year again. Swim School. Something my school does every year at the end of the year (because here in Australia we get summer rather than winter during Christmas). Today I actually swam, we get 7 days of being at the pool. I missed out on the first two days (which was very very good, I listened to my iPod all day) but now I kinda have to swim. Oh well. My face feels like it's been burnt to hell and back, when in reality it doesn't like my goggles. Dammit.

For those that don't actually know me, I love Depeche Mode and you'll see quite a few mentions in this blog, either to them as Depeche or DM and many references to Dave Gahan, Martin Gore and Andy Fletcher, as Dave, Mart and Fletch. So if I say something like "I was accompanied by Dave and Martin on my iPod..." you'll know what I mean.

Welcome to the place where I rant. You've been warned.
